Drive It Like You Stole It
Biggleswade band \'The Driven\' formed in February 2007. Founder members Charlie Luscombe, lead guitar and Steve Knight, drums, wanted to put together a covers band that played more up to date songs rather than some of the cliche older ones. They quickly assembled the band with Thom Berkery joining to play bass guitar and James Erskine joining to play keyboards/guitar. All was in place apart from one vital member-the lead vocalist. A wide search and auditions went on until finally they decided to bring local singer Stevie Ray (renowned for his talents) out of retirement. This proved a good decision as the band were performing live by June 2007. The only downside was an unexpected departure from James Erskine, leaving the band to play as a four-piece. This proved to perhaps suit the band even better and they continued to play accross Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, gaining a steady following along the way. In August 2007, The Driven organised what was to become Biggleswades biggest ever outdoor gig, where money was raised for charitys by the help of local bands and companies. Since then The Driven have continued to reguarly perform live and were recently featured on Biggles FM radio, where they performed an exclusive accoustic set heard around the globe. The Driven wish to thank everyone who continues to support them. \'Drive it like you stole it\' is the bands first EPCD recordings of their own material in 2008.
