Born into a musical family, Robin Russell learned from her father the rudiments of harmony singing and guitar. As a child, she studied classical piano, folk, blues, bluegrass, and songwriting. She has lived and performed in Nashville, New York City, San Francisco, and now resides in El Paso, Texas. Her voice has been described as liquid gold and her songwriting as deeply evocative. Bob Banta first played guitar as a teenager in a rock and roll band in Tokyo, Japan. He then transferred his obsession to El Paso, Texas where he led a plethora of groups known variously as 99 and the Shotgun Horns, the Bachelors, and Chaser. He also studied under and played guitar and bass for the legendary blues man, Long John Hunter. Bob and Robin met in the summer of 2002 and have been musically inseparable ever since. Their original acoustic blues touches many bases but results in a sound that commands absolute attention. Individually, they are players of quality, but together they bring out and complement each other's talents in a very special way.
