Question & Answer extract from Hip Hop World Magazine. Q. The 'EL' in your name stands for EL SHADDAI? A. No. God is EL. An emcee is a rapper or a lyricist. I'm simply the 'god of Rap Q. & how long have you been rapping? A. I set out to conquer Hip Hop at age 17. Now 5 birthdays later, having gone through all of Jay Z's, Neyo's and Kanye West's albums, and having recorded over 80 tracks of my own which I have right here on my Ipod, I've finally selected the best 8 for my debut album. Believe me every track is a winner, some for the African community, some for the Western. Q. & which of those three performers do you think you sound more like? A. I'll let you decide that Tom. As for me, I think I sound like El Emcee. Q. & you've lived all your life in Nigeria? A. I was born in Ibadan. Finished my high school in Benue state where my parents are originally from, and I've performed in almost every state in Nigeria. Right now I'm 'out & about' set to conquer Africa. Q. Well, I won my first & only talent hunt which got me attention from Xerxes who is the Ceo of Pyiiclan, the Label I'm on. He put me through a lot to get me where I am. We shot 3 videos for the album.
