How It Used to Be
Elridge is a singer, songwriter, and performer of formidable talent. His driving combination of rock and funk and his dynamic stage presence are the stuff of urban legend. Like the night he hung from the rafters and dropped into the crowd at 7th St. Entry in Minneapolis. Or the time he nearly caused a riot OPENING a show at Memphis' Mud Island Amphitheater. The spring of '03 found Elridge playing such lauded venues as L.A.'s Whisky a GoGo & Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. But that's only part of the story of a man who's overcome his share of heartache, who strives to present a positive vibe in these uncertain days. His music is filled with stories of hope and regret and people who can't quite connect. But through it all, it's belief in yourself that gets you over. Elridge is a musician who must be heard to be appreciated, must be seen to be believed.
