The Emberlight is a high energy Christian rock band with layer of pop sensibility and a passion for today's youth. With driven guitars, interesting chord progressions, woven melodies and countermelodies and a pop sensibility, the music is a holiday for your ears. Stylistically the writing draws influence from American rockers Foo Fighters, Switchfoot, pop rockers Weezer, Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects, and the intelligence of Relient K. 'I always grew up listening to rock so when I write I like to start with a driven rock foundation and then layer on the pop appeal.' The Emberlight, however, is not your average band, but a ministry stemming from the adventurous nature of front man Andy Rosko who forewent medical school to travel the country in a beat up van. Whether living in Kenya, creating environmental awareness in Alaska, serving in Guatemala, rock climbing in Australia, dog sled racing in Minnesota, or touring the country in a Christian rock band, Andy is constantly reaching out to experience life and inspire youth to wake up and live lives of service. His ministry focuses on missions both domestically and abroad and encouraging others to join the battle against complacency. The Emberlight recently signed a production deal with Fidelity Entertainment Group with it's debut release hitting in October. The band is produced by CR Pendleton (John Reuben, Jeff Anderson, Spoken, House of Heroes, 40DT) The band took form in June of 2005 stemming from the band Redhanded. Singer Andy Rosko began writing with producer CR Pendleton songs that polished this rock band into the shiny new entity that is The Emberlight. 'I had been playing straight rock and was ready for something new. I began to look to intelligently express myself while reaching out to a wider audience. After listening to Relient K and Jason Faulkner records I realized the direction I wanted to take.' The Emberlight has experienced great success in the last year opening for bands such as Skillet, Sanctus Real, Kids in the Way, The Elms, Chasing Victory, 38th Parallel, eLi, Olivia, and Mourning September. They have played at a variety of venues nationwide. The Emberlight also recently toured on the Radio Static Tour with Gotee Recording artist Jeff Anderson and North of OK. Currently the band is working on new material for an upcoming full-length record. The band has a definite ministry focus as it tries to connect to it's listeners with lyrics and testimony, as well as living examples of lives dedicated to Jesus Christ.
