Once in a while there comes along a singer with extraordinary talent and down right ability to please the audience. Such a singer is Eric Middleton. He is a cut above the rest. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York proved to be a great training ground for Eric's superb musical ability. With influences like his father, Issac Middleton, who sang in his very own band, Eric grew to appreciate music at an early age. 'I remember, when I was seven years old, watching my father and his band rehearse for hours at a time. During the time I learned to appreciate music and the discipline that it took to make music sound great,' Eric says enthusiastically. 'Watching my father sing gave me the desire to be a singer and front man of my own band.' Eric went on to sing in school musical theater productions like Porgy and Bess, West Side Story, The Wiz, and numerous others also appearing at entertainment venues like the Apollo Theater in Harlem and Nell's nightclub in Manhattan . During all this, he was able to develop a technique and an ear for diversity in music, which is unique for today's artists. As an improviser and music creator, Eric is part of a new generation of musical influences.
