Conversations with Eyes Closed
Fact Not Fiction was the debut band of Zeke Sayer and his high school friends in 2006. The band released 2 studio albums, self recorded ; Conversations (06) A Corporate Calling (07) before disbanding in April of 2008. This album was recorded at home in spring/summer of 2006 in a 1950's mobile home behind the Sayer's house. It bleeds out with the cry of a younger person longing to find something, but never really did. At first listen you may think of it as a 'cut n' dry' debut album from a group of 17-yearolds with no real catchy songs, and really no sense of direction (or pitch) but upon further listening, you'll find true stories about hurt, make belief and memories (that really only appeal to the ones involved with the record). One good thing about this record (wither it's a pleasure to listen to or not) is that it really documents a time in their life when they were totally in limbo with certain subjects and for them I'm sure it makes a great 'photo album' for them to come back to at points in their life. No one will ever like this album, and if they do, it's because they don't understand it.
