The Feisty Piranhas are an eclectic Southern California band made up of 3 seemingly completely different people. The band's frontman and lead guitarist is a seventeen year-old songwriter with his roots in SoCal punk rock. Peter Alexander Lust III was born with a 95% loss of hearing in his right ear and 50% loss of hearing in his left. This has not stopped him from creating better music that expresses his views on life and the world. The band's second member is Peter Alex's father Peter Lust Jr. Peter has been a drummer since his early teens and creates the driving rhythm that pushes The Feisty Piranhas to the next level of music. The third member is Jens Schnabel. Jens is considerably the oddest member in the group in that he plays clarinet. The oddity of the instrument in rock is only amplified by the fact that Jen's clarinet sound is so tweaked and effected that it sounds more like a razor sharp lead guitar than the original reed instrument lends itself to be. The band's mix of blues-punk-hard rock guitar, progressive rock drumming, emotional vocals, and razor sharp clarinet harmonies creates a new breed of songs that are catchy but also have true emotion and musical attitude that are supported by Peter Alex's lyrics. The Sophomore release from The Feisty Piranhas, 'Shocked' is a collection of hard rock ballads, punk rock anthems, huge choruses, massive sound, and emotional music and lyrics. Created from the brainchild of Peter Alexander Lust III, 'Shocked' is a new level of maturity in the life of The Feisty Piranhas. Conceived with the help of co-producers John Perez (various artists including Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Prince, Paul McCartney, Tower of Power, Axl Rose, Sum 41) and Rosemary Butler (Steely Dan, Bette Midler, Quincy Jones, Ray Charles, James Taylor, Hillary Duff, Jackson Brown); the album is a true reflection of the members of the band.
