Hes My Daddy Hes My Son
'He's incredible! That kid needs to be on TV!' was the cry from several onlookers who were attending a church picnic in a Houston park when Sam was only five years of age! Mike, his father, had been asked if he would perform some of his original songs and no sooner had he started playing the guitar when Sam immediately jumped up on the park bench next to him and proceeded to astound the crowd with his impromptu enthusiastic performance! By the time Sam was 6 years old they were performing together throughout the Houston area. Everywhere they went the response was the same, people wanted to know how a child so young could have such stage presence and obviously be enjoying every moment of his performance! Not only did Sam enjoy performing but after every show he would go out and meet the audience, giving hugs to everyone he spoke to. This was a big hit and brought joy not only to them but also to Sam who loves to entertain and make people happy! In January 2004 the Fischer family moved to Nashville. Mike had entered his song, 'He's My Daddy', in the NSAI 2004 International Song Contest and won 'honorable mention'. He was told by those judging at NSAI that everyone really loved the song and that it had incredible energy, but commercially they didn't know what to do with it, as what country artist performs with his son? Who could they find to cut this song? It became clear, 'Mike, this is definitely your song. You need to be the one to cut it!' Deciding in 2005 to get out and sing at local Nashville clubs, Sam started receiving rave reviews from those who saw him perform. Everyone fell in love with his antics and ability to connect with his audience! 'He's My Daddy', He's My Son', the Fischers debut album, was completed in Nashville at Denny Martin Studios in October 2005. The majority of the 13 songs included on this CD feature Sam, revealing the energy, drive and enthusiasm displayed at their live performances. Songs touch on subjects dealing with love, life, faith, anger, and parent-child relationships. Mike covers a wide spectrum of emotions in his solo performances, with laughter in 'Have a Good Laugh at Yourself!', comedy in 'Big Bang Theory', and tears in 'The Prodigal Son'. With a distinct message in their music, and great songs, The Fischers' appeal transcends all boundaries, winning approval from a wide variety of people of all ages.
