Fletcher was formed in the spring of 2005 to play during outreaches on a Calvary Chapel youth missions trip to Peru. They started out by practicing covers of different Christian rock bands and ended up writing a few songs of their own. In Peru they played at several high schools and parks where they were quite popular and well accepted by the locals, not to mention the rest of the missions group. The conditions in Peru weren't always the best, none of the auditoriums were designed for concerts, amps would get blown and monitors would go out, making it very hard to stay together musically, but this only served to strengthen them as a band. Upon returning to the U.S. The members of Fletcher decided that, due to their musical success and popularity among the youth, they shouldn't stop playing as a band just because the trip was over. So after a brief rest they started meeting again for practice on a regular basis. Presently they are working on writing enough songs for a CD and playing whatever gigs they can get, no matter how short the notice, small the audience or bad the conditions.
