I Have Walked with Angels
Fran Mandeville is an endearing and relentless troubadour who has played folk and rock music across the country, from the coal-mining roadhouses of northern Colorado to the coffeehouses of the Maine shore. His enduring career began as a rock vocalist and guitarist who shared the bill with notable acts including Blood, Sweat, and Tears, and he went on to become a featured mandolin player with various bluegrass bands. As a sideman the sought-after multi-instrumentalist has shared the stage with major acts including the legendary country swing band Asleep at the Wheel and Texas blues artist Lee Roy Parnell. As a solo performer he has shared the stage with such distinguished acts as folk icon Dave Van Ronk. Mandeville's well-crafted songs have been sung and recorded by various independent artists. His CDs 'I Have Walked With Angels' and 'Precarious' have received international airplay and attention. 'Let Me Be' from the 'Angels' collection was nominated for JustPlainFolks.org's Best Blues Song of 2001. Fran Mandeville performs as a solo and with his acoustic 'Flown Home' band at festivals, fairs, colleges, and coffeehouses.
