FTB (Frank Trail Band) creates a musical experience that combines contemporary and diverse musical styles into a unique expression of faith and art. After being involved in various groups/combos of players, the members of FTB finally came together in late 2006. Their debut CD project, 'MOSAIC', is a collection of original songs written by Frank, and was recorded, mixed, and co-produced with Frank by Dave Yanofsky who owns and operates Green Room East in Moncton, NB. Although band membership changes, the present group includes: Frank Trail on vocals & guitars, Isaac Trail on keyboards, Erin Steeves on BGVs, Shane Lyons on bass guitar, and Andrew Leblanc on drums & percussion. Describing the band's sound can be challenging, with Frank's musical influences coming from the likes of David Crowder, Derek Trucks, Todd Agnew, the Eagles, John Mayer, Robert Cray, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Third Day, Steve Bell, DownHere, Rich Mullins, Wes King, NewWorldSon, and almost anything classic/southern rock or soul/jazz & blues. FTB continues to evolve, experiment, and carve out it's niche, and people are discovering the fresh sound that draws from rock/pop, blues, jazz, and even folk music, yet the goal remains the same: seeking excellence/integrity/freshness in music, and sharing a meaningful message that engages those who will take the time to listen.
