George Fuller 3rd
George Fuller III has come from nowhere with a folk-rock album that reeks of originality. It's taken everybody by surprise. One popular Tampa DJ called it an exotic blend of ballads and bounce, and category-defying freshness. And this is no exaggeration. Recorded in Toronto with veteran producer David Krystal, seven of the city's most sought-after session players and himself on acoustic guitar and vocals, the mélange of Fuller-penned and co-penned songs are all his. Yet at the same time, for everyman. As a whole, the album embraces the time-honored axiom: the body may grow older, but the heart remains young. Powerful, evocative lyrics coupled with imminently singable melodies puts this Alabama refugee front and center in the singer/songwriter movement.
