Trepidation of the Spheres
Glimpse is a Power Rock Trio, featuring singer Joell Sweeney on Bass, Jeshua Scheumack on guitar, and Ivan Scheumack on drums. The band has been described as Rock music with a surf edge. Prior to Glimpse, the trio were members of the Rock band Door to Door, whose single 'Conformity' was featured on the Sacramento Rocks Vol II, compilation CD. From 1992 through 1995, the trio,(then a four peice with other brother Eric Scheumack)opened for such bands as Cake, the Deftones, and Oleander. They were also the winners of the 1995 Nevada City Battle of the Bands. In 1996, the trio joined the mystic Rock band, MotherWheel, actively touring the Pacific Northwest from 1996 to 1999. Most recently, Glimpse opened for European Platinum Recording artists, The Gift, and San Francisco's favorite surf band, The Mermen, at the famous rock club, Slim's in San Francisco CA. In the first week of September, 2001, Glimpse began recording at Dr. C recording studio in San Francisco CA, yet no one could have anticipated the events to come. Amidst the daily threats of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridges shutting down, due to potential terrorist, Glimpse, and their trusty engineer Matthias, made it to the studio and ultimatly released their first self-titled, debut album in January, 2002. In February of 2003, with the threat of War in Iraq looming, and thousands of protestors taking the city of San Francisco, Glimpse began their most recent project, Trepidation of the Spheres. Once again recording at Dr. C with Matthias and mastering with John Cuniberti at the Plant in Sausalito, Trepidation of the Spheres, was released in May of 2003. Glimpse is not just a band they are a family. Made up of two brothers and a long time bandmate of over ten years...Glimpse is and always will be about music that moves!.....Enjoy!
