You & Me
Hailing from Ohio, Ken Rothermich moved to New York City at the turn of the century to pursue a career in the commercial arts as a graphic designer. A chance interaction, a few handshakes, a steady rhythm hand, and the ability to provide his own equipment landed him a position in the quietly lauded post-punk/trash-rock band The Great Shakes. After cutting his teeth playing shows from New York to LA, and receiving international commercial airplay, the magic faded and Ken found himself without a band to play with or a stage to stand on. Fortunately, this was not to be the end of his story. There was hope. Ken soon discovered that through the magic of technology, he could be his own band. Using only an acoustic guitar, a microphone, a small keyboard and an iMac, his ideas became songs and his songs became an album. The name Glue Mill was chosen to represet the project, and the album was to be called "You & Me" to reflect recurring themes of interpersonal relationships. The collection of 11 songs was recorded between 2006 and 2008.
