Graffiti 61 is the brainchild of Hollywood based sound artist Dominic Massaro. Employing a combination of slow tempos, synths, drones and ethereal vocals, his music is haunting and soothing. As a deeply emotional person, Massaro translates his introspective thoughts through his music. Heavily influenced by ambient, psychedelic and experimental artists such as Boards of Canada, Radiohead, Aphex Twin, Brian Eno, Pink Floyd as well as visual artists such as Rauschenberg and Basquiat, Massaro has created his own unique style which he calls Ambidelic. Graffiti 61 has performed numerous shows in Los Angeles and Europe in recent years. He has composed several soundscapes for NASA. He is currently receiving airplay on Indie 103.1's Head Trip program as well as numerous independent stations around the world. He also has a residency @ nova express cafe in L.A. every Thursday. The music has been featured on the NBC show 'The Mentalist', and several independent films. Graffiti 61 builds musical pieces looping synths textures one by one, thus adding layers sequentially recreating and reinventing his music at every performance with no two shows exactly alike.
