Ode to the Morning Star
In recent times, our Heavenly Father has chosen to send me songs from above. I had no plans to write or record songs. But as they kept on coming; I became convicted that these gifts are meant to be shared. So, we selected a few of them, and decided to look for some production help. It all seemed Divinely orchestrated, as I met my new neighbor, who moved in four doors down, that had an in-home studio. He also has a track record of producing 7 #1 hits in the contemporary Christian music scene! So, Jim Cooper seemed to be the right guy to work with. So, when he and his partner, Tommy Collier liked the songs, and said let's go, Ode to The Morning Star was born. It is a pretty diverse sounding record, with music ranging from soft acoustic rock and worship, to roots 50's rock and roll, gospel, country, electric rock, and country rock.Jim and Tommy did a good job of trying to capture the Spirit in the songs, which was my priority.I decided to include an intro to each song, to tell the story behind the song; sort of like a live concert. So, the album has 22 tracks, 11 songs. There are evangelical songs, songs about abiding, getting free, holding on,and finding new purpose. All in all, it seems the songs He is sending are about preparing us for His return. Play it loud, crank it up, and open up your heart. I pray that you will be changed.
