I Have a Dream
Gregory Jackson Gregory Jackson is a multi-talented tenor vocalist who has performed throughout the USA and Europe in various clubs, opera-houses, theaters, churches etc. He recorded "I Have A Dream" at the West Sound and Video Studio in 1994 when he was with the "Stepping Out Band", along with vocalists Devonne Moore and Trina Mitchell of Boston. Gregory also recorded two Christmas albums, one called Christmas Dreams and the other called "A Charles Dickens Christmas Dream." One of his best albums was called "Let's Swing", an album recorded at West Sound Studio. This album is under contract with Harry Eckert, a New York publisher. A Lyric Tenor, Gregory L. Jackson maintains an active performance schedule as soloist at Coral Gables Congregational Church, Coral Gables, FL. He sings regularly at Temple Beth Am, Miami, FL, and has performed with the Boca Pops, Boca Raton, FL; Voices of the Florida Sunshine Pops Orchestra, Boca Raton, FL; and Jubilate, a 16-member vocal ensemble dedicated to preserving Negro Spirituals and performing other works by African-American composers. Jackson's most recent musical tour of Europe (November, 2005) featured him as soloist. He performed in major concert halls in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, and Cadiz, Spain. In the fall of 1999, Mr. Jackson was one of four Americans selected to represent the United States at an international music festival in Yerevan, Armenia. Sponsored by the USIA Speaker's Bureau and the Armenian Union of Composers, Mr. Jackson performed and lectured about the Black American experience through black gospel music. Jackson has also performed as tenor soloist in major oratorios and works in both the United States and Europe. 'Jackson delivers sweet high notes.' All through the years, Gregory has kept in touch with the West brothers and has remained a loyal friend to all of us. James A. West James West started his musical career as a drummer with his brothers and two country-style vocalists. They played all throughout New England. Jim later began to sing, play piano and guitar and was even doing some acting in community theaters. He and his brothers formed the West Sound Recording Studio in Londonderry NH., where they recorded many bands. Presently Jim runs a ministry in Manchester New Hampshire, where he showcases various bands throughout the country. He also teaches piano, voice and drums at the West Brother's Music School in Amherst MA. with his brother David and also teaches at Tewksbury Music. He recorded "Beginning Of Love" which is the second song on the "I Have A Dream" album in 1994 at West Sound & Video. Both songs were later recorded on an album called "Oklahoma, We'll Remember." It is a musical tribute related to the Oklahoma Tragedy. It is under contract with Decidedly Superior Music, a publishing house in New York. Jim has also recorded "Christmas Dreams", an album with ten songs, and a "Charles Dickens' Christmas Dream", a holiday musical which was narrated on PBS Radio in Boston in 1991. He also recorded many songs in an album called "Let's Swing", which is now under contract with Harry Eckert, a New York publisher.
