Lil Guyland Good Zydeco music is sometimes hard to find. You need the right accordion player with the right "musical" attitude. You need someone like Lil Guyland Leday an eight-year-old left hand accordion player. He comes from the real zydeco music culture. His great grandfather was the late, great Delton Broussard. Guylands' foundation comes from a host of uncles, cousins and aunts with a musical background. Guyland Leday born 9/29/1997 started on stage at the age of three with a toy accordion. He was always excited to be on stage trying his best to keep up with the music and dance steps that we performed. The look in his face indicated that he was very serious. Guyland was constantly on stage with the Zydeco Force Band playing his toy accordion until one-day things changed. Guyland introduced himself to us by sitting on an accordion case and showing the group that he was the real thing. He really knew how to play several songs on the accordion. He is a self-taught player, listening to every song that we and other bands played. Guyland can play anybody's songs with a few that he composed himself. If you're curious about that, do an interview with him. Beside Zydeco Force, Guyland has played with many other groups such as: Terrance Simien, Keith Frank, Curley Taylor, J. Paul and The Same Ol' 2 Step Zydeco Band. Guyland has also been recorded on Zydeco force's CD called "Louisiana Chicken Shack" on the Shrimpo label. Guyland played his own accordion lines and sang the songs his way on two cuts on the CD. Guyland is working on the next CD, which will be out soon. In the month of Oct 6,2006 Guyland performed at Carnegie Hall with the most talented kids in the world. HBO aired a special called "The Music In Me" the entire month of Oct starting on the 7th, 2006. Guyland was a part of this documentary. He was filmed a year ago in Louisiana with the band called Zydeco Force. On Oct 26 he was filmed for the Ellen DeGeneres show. Guyland was the winner for the Oscar Mayer Weiner (Sing The jingle). March of 2007, Guyland was taped for a national commercial for Kraft's Food. Guyland is from Opelousas, LA and is in the fourth grade at Grolee Elementary School. Guyland would like to thank the St Landry Parish School System for making all efforts to enhance his career and the culture of LA. He also would like to thank all the organizations that gave him the opportunity play. He also hopes that the capitol of Zydeco Music (Opelousas, LA) will become more involved with the up coming Zydeco musicians.
