Product Notes

"Non-Fiction" is the highly anticipated debut release from Jazz guitarist and composer, Harley Card. The album features eight original compositions by the guitarist, performed by his quartet. The group consists of pianist Matt Newton, bassist Jon Maharaj and drummer Ethan Ardelli. The album introduces Harley as a talented, emerging guitarist and presents eight unique and cleverly arranged pieces of music, boasting a promising compositional voice. Rooted in the Jazz tradition, the music demonstrates a rich understanding of harmony, rhythm, and form. Harley's music also displays a keen Pop sensibility that sets him apart from a lot of modern Jazz that relies on melodic complexity.
