Something to Sing About
Since the last very successful release, Haven sent us, 'A Cappella Hymns'. Haven Ministries has established a powerful presence on the internet, and the Haven Quartet, now called Haven, are getting better and better! They are Walt Harrah (who is also producer), Bill Cantos, Jeff Gunn and Randy Crenshaw. First let us warn that all the songs are accompanied by keyboards, guitar, bass and drums, but for us the story is the voices. In the complexity of harmony, arrangements and sophisticated production, the sound easily rivals that of groups like Take 6, Glad and Acappella, a sound both inspirational and esthetically delightful. 12 songs, all soft-rock, all lovely: from beautifully arranged traditionals like 'I Love To Tell The Story' and 'Amazing Grace' to originals like 'Lord, I Lift Your Name on High', 'No Greater Love', 'By One Man', 'O The Deep, Deep Love of Jesus', 'Except In the Cross' and the final cut, 'I Press On'. This one will have you rocking and singing along! - Singers.com Reviews: This upbeat album will not only lift your foot as you begin tapping to the rhythm, but it will lift your spirit and your voice to join in singing praises to our Lord and Savior. It didn't take but a few moments into the first song before I was moved to a place of worship - being reminded that He truly has given us 'something to sing about'! - Sharalee These twelve songs joyously proclaim God's greatness. And because of His great love, which took Him to the cross for our gain, we now have 'Something to Sing About'! - Deborah I love this CD! It is extremely worshipful and beautifully arranged. Haven could not have done a better job! I listen to it over and over. No weak songs are on this one! - Licah Davies Great CD! Great worship and meditation music. I listen to it while I do my household chores or read my bible. Makes you want to pray and be closer to God. - Mary Dickinson "Something To Sing About" really allows you to worship God while listening instead of just being entertained. Nothing wrong with being entertained, but this music really helps me to focus and meditate on God. - John Lakin.
