This album truly is a great way to start the day! Play the album and it becomes the most eccentric soundtrack for your work day or even your day off. From the opening pop/funk track of "Hello it's me again" featuring Aloe Blacc, to the afro-beat of the closing song "A great way to start the day", Hearios have beautifully composed a classic record. As ambitious as Gnarls Barkley or Andre 3000, producer Bewon and drummer Seann have kept the eclectic ball moving with soulful folk songs such as "Sleep til the noonafter" and melodic Hip Hop on "Vinylique". The album features collaborations with musicians across the country such as Los Angeles's Aloe Blacc, New York's Miya Dunets, and Hawai'i's Mike White and RaE. Hearios has taken many musical influences (J dilla, Jack Johnson, Feist) and melted their vinyl to press up an exciting, refreshing new style and sound. Now I say style because when you listen to the music, it brings back flashbacks of vintage culture, polyester, corduroys and all. You can dance to it, you can even pump it full blast and rockout in your car. It's that intoxicating and so extremely catchy that every limb and fingertip has got to move. Please do your body a favor and play Hearios.
