CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN/GOSPEL MUSIC MAKING ROOM FOR MOORE New Recording Artist, Helga Moore debuts CD Showing She's Stronger! Atlanta...June 8, 2007...New contemporary Christian, R&B and inspirational jazz recording artist, Helga J. Moore, is ready to capture the hearts and spirit of those who love the different genres, with music that will make them dance, shout, inspire them and even mellow them out. With her unique approach to today's contemporary gospel sounds, Moore's new CD "Stronger!", expounds a bevy of spiritual messages communicated through a variety of sounds-a fusion of contemporary Christian, gospel, inspirational jazz and R&B, that is anything but traditional. Her strong, vibrato voice has a unique appeal, and the thought-provoking, soul stirring lyrics offer listeners a selection and diversity of heart soothing melodies and innovative arrangements. "I have always had a passion for music and wanted to record my own CD since I was a child," said Moore. "However, the major reason behind the development of this CD is to help make necessary changes for other mothers like myself, who need specific services for our children who are mentally and/or physically challenged--services that are not currently being offered." In addition to being lead vocalist on all the songs, Moore also wrote the lyrics of most of the cuts on the CD and arranged all of them. Born in Savannah, GA., she has been singing since she was five-years-old and sung with such gospel greats as the late James Cleveland. She also sang with popular R&B groups like Brick, when she was a teenager. Moore had always dreamed of becoming a singer, but had to put that dream aside to raise her two daughters and her mentally challenged son. -more- Helga Moore New Contemporary Christian/ Inspirational Jazz Artist Page Two As a result, Moore is determined to maximize what she says is the goodness of God, by not only working to realize her life-long dreams and complete her CD, but also propel her further in developing the non-profit organization All Children Are Special, Inc. This is a foundation she founded four years ago, designed to develop a Center providing needed services for mothers and families with special needs children. In fact, portions of the sales of the Stronger! CD will be donated for the development of the All Children Are Special Education and Therapeutic Child Center. "My goal is to use my musical gifts to ensure that all needs are met for parents of physically and mentally challenged children, through the development of this educational therapeutic center," Moore said. "This comprehensive Center will offer parental counseling, child care, medical and dental assistance, and other resources that are critical for families with special needs children of all kinds-particularly working mothers," she explained. "The lack of these services is a major reason why I personally couldn't pursue my singing career, and that holds true for thousands of families across the nation. Now my purpose for the CD is bigger than just for me-it's for all mothers and fathers facing the same challenges." This first independently produced CD, "Stronger," is a collaboration between Moore and the CD's producers Timothy Gilchrist and Eric Fleming, two of Atlanta's fastest rising record producers for recording artists of a variety of genres, and Moore believes anyone from any age group who appreciate great music and powerful inspirational messages will be pleased. "I am extremely proud of the outcome of the many long days and nights of working on the Stronger! CD, which has taken over a year to complete," Moore said. "I am also extremely thankful for the direction in which God is steering me. Although it's been very challenging, He has allowed me to use my background and experience-personally and professionally, to help others through potentially devastating challenges, making all of us stronger!"
