Since 1996, Hijos del Sol has been a part of the diverse group of musicians, who, under the label of 'Latin Rock', make music which incorporates the rich cultural and ethnic fusion of Los Angeles. In 1998, in support of their first independently released album, Hijos del Sol embarked on a 30 city nationwide tour, sponsored by MGD beer. Their single, 'No Grites Su Nombre' reached the top 5 on commercial radio in Tijuana as well as in Puerto Rico. 'Para Quien Quiera Escuchar', on the Fonovisa label in the United States, is the latest offering of Hijos del Sol. Hijos del Sol emerged out of the search for the coming together of all races, sexes and beliefs, using the sun as their symbol of unification, the source of energy and life which all people recognize. Hijos del Sol is comprised of musicians who came together in Los Angeles in an effort to create and develop a sound which combines different musical influences.
