IDLE YETI is a Classic Rock-inspired band based out of Macon, GA that was formed with the intention of deviating from the digitized "new rock" sound that is so common today. In an industry where music that is dark and angry dominates rock airwaves, Idle Yeti provides this much needed and much sought breath of fresh air in their approach to the art of the recorded album. The band released "Hypersaline Saloon" in early 2006, and in it, they have produced an album that is ripe with strong lead vocals and harmonies, raw guitar tones, soaring solos, and a bombastic rhythm section. The album is produced by now Macon, GA-based engineer Alan Moon, who has contributed his technical skills to many major label albums for artists such as The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow, and Lou Reed. The album was mixed at Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta,GA. The band and Alan agreed that mixing to 1/2 in. Analogue adds a certain "sonic glue" that enhances imaging and makes for a premium master. Mastering was handled by engineer Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound in New York.
