Burn the City
Hailing from London Ontario Illatease (ill-at-'ease) is a feisty, hard-rocking 4 pc. Assault who are quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most entertaining musical acts in the area. Disciplined song-writing and an explosive live show combine to make this band a powerful force in the rock community. The songs are heavy and technical while still maintaining an un-questionable pop sensibility riddled with hooks which will have you singing and screaming along. Each member holds an equally divided spotlight and brings their own unique touch to the table in creating and maintaining their signature sound. Steve Tapley provides a thunderous backbeat on drums and Scott Jamieson lays down the groove on bass. Phil Regimbal is the mastermind behind the bands infectious guitar hooks and vocal harmonies and Craig Jamieson brings it all to center-stage with aggressive, yet catchy vocal melodies. Formed in the spring of 2005, influenced by rock and roll, punk, powerpop, new and old metal, and just about everything else one can listen to, the band has molded their own truly unique sound. Their debut release entitled Burn The City (available now) succeeds in providing a colossal bag of sweet ear candy for those who enjoy hard, heavy instrumentals, strong, passionate, melodic vocals and interesting musical technicality. The record is engineered and produced by Toronto's very own Shawn Lefebvre. Shawn is a talented young producer who's passion and work ethic provided the 5th element in Burn The City's successful completion. Nominated for this year's London Music Awards, a record finished and plans to tour in the summer; Illatease stand poised and ready to infect the masses....
