Have Mercy on the Children
This is the second chance for me to produce an album. All song lyrics and melodies were inspired by God. My first project was done in 1988 entitled 'Thanks for the Loan.' There were seven songs on that album. All of those songs were given to me by the Holy Spirit after an accident. I received trauma to my head and other parts of my body. Until then, I never knew I had all these wonderful songs with such encouraging messages. You see, I was in such agony that I felt like giving up, but there were always songs to lift my spirits and to tell me to hold on. There are those who have told me to give up on this project. They say it's too late, but God says, 'Keep on until you're finished. It's never too late. As long as there is life, there is hope.' I began writing these songs in Compton, California, in 1986. I completed them in Ridgecrest, California, a desert town. My desire is for all who listen to the music to be blessed and to listen to the messages. God didn't give me these songs to keep packed away. He wants me to share them with others. That's why I couldn't let go. I am currently a member of Victory Baptist Church in Ridgecrest California and I sing in our Adult Choir. Thanks to the Wise and Almighty God for giving me the strength and everything I needed to complete this project. Irene B. Porter.
