J.G Johnson & Seeds of Peace
The story is quite long, and goes on and on...... (So here\'s the short version) After spending his 18th summer in county jail, J.G Johnson\'s father bought him a Les Paul custom guitar and a Peavey half stack, on a promise he would stay out of trouble. In the spring of 84 he started his fist rock band,(never named). After a brief struggle for control of the band, he went to a local recording studio, recording his first two songs, ( one of which is Old Paved road, that was rerecorded for his latest CD), and released them on cassette as an independent under the name Marado streak. Hitchhiking around California, living at one place after another, J.G honed his song writing skills. Fueled by alcohol and a wide variety of drugs, he spent the next few years trying to fit in with other bands, but was unable to make anything work, so instead spent much of his time playing on city streets for tourists. Then in 87 he met up with a young guitar player/ singer, song writer, spending some time collaborating material, they took it on the road in the beginning of 1988. Much of that year was spent on the streets of L.A and San Francisco and in between. J.G met his wife in the fall of that year and went on to play in several bands, Nostalgia No Stone, Harvest and a reunion of Marado Streak. In 94 joined the band Saltwater Johnson, preforming for four years in L.A and up and down the central coast. He went solo in 98 and has only used studio musicians since, though for a time played coffee houses with friends and family. As a solo song writer J.G Johnson has recorded 6 CD\'s, with J.G Johnson and the Seeds of Peace, being the latest. And here we are! J.G Johnson and the Seeds of Peace came about due to these critical times hard to deal with. Having realized that this world has suffered from to much violence and that true peace can not be achieved, unless mankind turns back from his greed, self centered and violent ways, the music took on a life of it\'s own. J.G Johnson and a guitar was only a start. With Terry Lawless on Hammond B3, bringing his magic to the music. Terry having played for U2, Bruce Springsteen, Cher and many other big name artist brings a professional and unique touch to the tracks. @(Terry Lawless.com)Darell Voss On drums, Professional Jazz Drummer, also teaches drums a Questa College in San Luis Obispo, keeping the sounds tight. And a host of guess performers adds to the life and sound of the entire CD. We sincerely hope you will join us, on our quest to make all aware of the importance of sowing the seeds of peace. We only wish to spread the message of peace through music, to make aware to all who will listen, the time is short, there is no longer any room for hate in this world, so spread the love. Peace be with you and may love guide you to enlightenment. Thank You.
