Look Up to the Sky
There is a reason the city of Redmond, Oregon presented Jacob Looper with the Key to the City: his willingness to share musical insights and to help lesser known artists in his community. He is also a worship leader at his local church, has two years of music theory under his belt, and plans to graduate in the future with a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance. Jacob has taught voice classes for the Parks and Recreation and Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Besides taking such volunteer and civic commitments, Jacob Looper [of Looper Studios] is considered one of Christian Music's up and comers. Jacob had the rare opportunity to perform for Oregon's Governor in 2008. He has sang backup for the likes of Stacie O'rrico, Plus One, Natalie Grant, Rachel Lampa, Andrew Beal, The New West Guitars, and others in venues across the Unites States, including Paramount's Great America, The Oregon Youth Convention, The Oregon State Fair, five times at the Oregon and National level Fine Arts Festivals. Jacob has also performed with the All-State and All-Northwest Choirs, and is in high demand by recording and performance groups as a background pianist, saxophone player, and soloist. Jacob actively performs with local Japanese artist, Canaan Canaan at venues across Central Oregon. As time allows, he continues to travel extensively with various bands, operas, and choirs. The last several years Jacob has been on tour in Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, and throughout Canada. Jacob's style of worship music is unique and he has a one-of-a-kind lyrical tenor voice.
