I grew up in Talco, Texas in the household with my father, mother, and three sisters. We attended a Pentecostal church where we sang on a regular basis. Church was a major part of my upbringing. I began singing at a very early age and have continued to sing throughout my life. I am currently the Minister of Music at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church and serve as the praise and worship leader. I love singing, but praise and worship is my passion. My musical aspiration came from Pastor Eleanor Murray of New Light Ministries, Amarillo, Texas. She taught me the significance of praise and worship. I love God, and praise and worship is a way of connecting with Him. Praise is what I do; it's just who I am. I love it! In 2006 our family recorded it's first CD, "Empowered to Praise." I was a vital part in production as well as lead work. Recording my own CD has always been something that I desired to do, but I never really thought that I sang well enough. Many people encouraged me to record but in my mind there were so many people more talented that I was. Bless God for people who saw something in me that I did not see in myself. My nephew, James Tudman, encouraged me to pursue my heart's desire. He approached me several times with different songs that he had written, but I insisted that he get someone else. He would not take no for an answer. In May of 2007, James and I discussed potential people to help with the project. In June of 2007, we began practicing. While in the process of recording the CD, I experienced problems with my voice. Despite the struggle, God blessed me to finish, and the CD was finalized in August 2008. All glory, honor, and praise go to God for what He has done.
