Jamie Lynn Hart
In an age where a musical artist can be manufactured and distributed just as easily as they can fade in and out we find those that stand the tests of time. JamieLynn's musical talents are not a by product of a media conglomerate but rather a genuine blend talent and passion of profound lyrics, infectious melodies, and compelling vocals. As early as the age seven, in her hometown of Milford, NH, she was performing and drawing crowds on the playground during recess. By thirteen she was on stage performing in local musicals capturing the attention and interest of her music teachers. She was strongly encouraged to continue nurturing her talent and quickly enrolled in private voice lessons and intensive music programs. Deemed a 'diamond in the rough' by music director, Dr. Susan Epstein, Jamie became a featured soloist in jazz and choral concerts. Between rehearsals and voice lessons, she began writing her own songs and collaborated with guitarist Mike Shepard to form the duo Zion Tree. They quickly gained attention as their music was showcased at local benefit concerts, battle of the bands, and sold out coffee houses. Soon they had enough material to record a full length record that was released independently. Their popular song 'Sassy' was heard nationally when it was a finalist in the Teen People songwriting contest in 2003. After high school, JamieLynn moved to Miami to continue her musical journey at the University level. There she discovered her love and talent for classical singing, where she began her specialization in opera. Some of the popular venues at which she played are the Gusman Theatre, Lincoln Hall, and the Werthheim Performing Arts Center; where she sang a variety of works under the baton of Orlando Garcia and Lukas Foss. Shortly thereafter, she was granted a full fellowship to continue her studies in Opera and performed lead roles in Il Segreto di Suzanna, Trial By Jury, and Rider's to the Sea. She was then awarded a Graduate Assistantship where she became adjunct faculty and taught voice lessons to undergraduate music majors. After receiving an Artist Diploma in Opera Performance in 2006, Jamie moved to Boston in hopes to continue her education at the Graduate level while pursuing her first love of songwriting. She soon began collaborating with the city's local talent and created one of Boston's exciting and emerging new acts. The band's captivating vibe has gained quick attention and inspired interest with local venues and promoters. Each member adds their own unique style to flavor the infectious melodies and intimate lyrics. The band blends the variety of soul, folk, and rock, to create a unique musical collection.
