CLEVELAND, OHIO- One of the best kept secrets in the nation, Jason Hess is finally beginning to get the attention he deserves. After releasing his debut album, 'Lost and Found Again,' in April of 2004 at the ripe age of seventeen, his emergence as an artist moved slowly. However, after an appearance at Fashion Rock 2005 in Orlando, Florida at the end of May, his popularity began to grow. The result was a huge and sudden inflow of online downloaders. Hess watched closely as songs such as 'Hazelnut Eyes' and 'Promise Land' soared on Itunes sales charts, and he found himself swamped with e-mails from listeners thirsty for more Jason Hess music! His growing popularity has caught the eyes of several major music entertainment companies, and as a result Hess is headed back into the studio in the coming weeks to record his first official EP. The five track disk is expected to get attention from teen TV shows such as 'The OC' and 'One Tree Hill,' among others. Hess and his band have amassed to create a unique sound, using an acoustic guitar base, that is not replicated by any other artist or band in the country!His influences include a variety of artists, such as: the Beatles, Dave Matthews, Phish, Vertical Horizon, Gavin DeGraw, Goo Goo Dolls, Jimmy Buffet, Jason Mraz, Matt Nathanson and, most notably, current sensations Maroon 5 and John Mayer.
