It follows the careers of top African American recording artists in the rock music genre from 1950 to present and examines how African Americans created Rock 'N Roll and set the sound, style and performance standards for the last 50-years of popular music. From Chuck Berry and Tina Turner to Rick James and Janet Jackson, this book exemplifies over 60 different artists and celebrates the powerful influence of African Americans on modern music and culture. The Very Best of J. OTHELLO II is a collection of music spanning the first 10-years of a very successful songwriting career. These songs represent the evolution of Jeffrey Othello's powerful writing style. The early Metal comes from the deepest part of his then young and angry mind, and evolves over a 10-year period through relationships, college and theological seminary and into the brilliant heavy soundscapes and overtures that became the signature of 'The Mighty J. Othello'. JEFFREY OTHELLO CDs Available @ CD Baby & iTUNES: THE VERY BEST OF J. OTHELLO (1996 - 2003) THE VERY BEST OF J. OTHELLO II (1990 - 2000) THE VERY BEST OF J.
