Let's Give Love Another Chance
Jerry Ray Williams has roots deep in country music. He was raised on a sand hill farm in southeast Oklahoma about 4 miles east of Atoka. The youngest of 13 children, he learned works ethics and a love of music at a very young age.He would sing to the horses and the cattle as he was herding them into the corral and as he went about his other chores on the farm.He looked forward to Saturday evenings when the family would gather around the battery radio to listen to the Grand Ole Opry. He always loved to sing at church and for friends and family and hoped to be able to take his music to a wider audience. His brother Jarvis Williams financed his first recording project in 1976.It consisted of four songs which are now out of print but Jerry preserved them on his cassette album released in 1994. Jerry has recorded four gospel songs that are included on his country CD and on his cassette that was recorded a few years ago. He hopes to record an album of gospel songs in the near future. He moved to Oregon when he was in High School and graduated from Harrisburg High School. Jerry worked for the Oregon Department of Transportation for 40 years but now that he is retired he finally has the time to pursue his first love, music. He has been busy singing and recording. He has a comp CD that has been getting air play in Europe and it has been exciting to receive royalty checks from BMI. He hopes you really enjoy this new album and keep an eye out for future recordings.
