His second solo album entitled 'Peripheral Vision', is a mixture of R&B, jazz and gospel. His influences are that of Grover Washington, Boney James and also Kirk Whalum who studied with Jesse at Texas Southern University in Houston, TX and frat brothers of the PHI MU ALPHA fraternity. After a near fatal car accident, when traveling back to the university, Jesse could barely walk or talk. He was told by doctors that he may not be able to play his saxophone again. However, through rehabilitation and the grace of God, Jesse persevered. Now audiences from all over are enjoying his unique smoothe jazz music.
