With a loyal fan base in the Carolina's and many more in the surrounding states, Jethrosplea is an up and coming rock and roll band full of potential. They are an accomplished hard working group of guys. Jethrosplea is - founder, lead singer, and guitarist Troy Reeves, 25, bass player Joe Hamilton, 23, and guitarist Stevie Knighten, 23. It all began in 1997 and over the years Jethrosplea has continued to follow a passion to make good provocative rock and roll, etched with the timeless realities of life, and to work hard whether they're playing for 50, 500, or 5000. Jethrosplea has purposefully and methodically developed an incredibly loyal fan base who follow them faithfully. They have been quietly packing out regional bars, clubs, and coffeehouses in the Carolinas and Georgia, while cranking out consistently high energy rock and roll shows full of positive music and lyrics that everyone can relate to. They easily transition from melodic and melancholy acoustic sets to hard driving rock and roll sets at the blink of an eye and at the request of their fans. Interacting with and pleasing their fans ranks high on their priority list and they work hard to make sure everyone leaves each show happy with the band and happy with the venue! Jethrosplea mixes a lot of different influences in their self styled repertoire, such as the sounds of the band Incubus, Fuel, 7 Mary 3, Metallica, and Taproot, to create a 'Cross-over' or what others have coined a 'provocative' style of new southern rock. All four are prolific writers who are in touch with the vibes of today's music lover. They're equally at home and welcome on the college campus, in a packed auditorium, or at the local club scene. Each member of the band brings a God-given natural talent and a consuming passion to their chosen art and all are accomplished solo artists on their own merit.
