Hailing from Statesville, NC, Jerry Hayden, Jr. a.k.a. JHJ, believes in the power of music. With his natural talent he realizes his potential to impact the world with his gift, to move crowds and persuade action. Since the age of seven his remarkable talent encouraged his pathway to the music scene. JHJ previously held lead singer positions in two local R&B groups. Both groups titled, T.Y.G.E. (The Young Generation Entertainment) and InSync respectively, made major headway in the local music circuit. As lead singer JHJ demonstrated his writing capabilities and made use of many of the poems he constructed. Membership with these groups led to opportunities to open for some of the music industry's biggest performers such as Mary J. Blige, Aaliyah, K-Ci Hailey, and Felicia Adams. JHJ also worked closely with Darrin 'Piano Man' Whittington, who previously worked under the infamous Untouchables Entertainment. Doors also opened for JHJ and his groups to perform at the ever-popular 'New York City Block Party', which showcased many new and professional musicians. Most recently JHJ was one of the 25 finalists for WSOCTV Channel 9's Gimme the Mike! Charlotte contest, which aired last summer. J envisions himself as a showstopper like his musical mentors, Michael Jackson, Patti LaBelle, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Usher and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He hopes to conquer all levels of entertainment and become a master artist. The motivated performer is driven to reach the depths of souls with his given talent. He wants to produce that feeling of movement that music gives and be happy doing it. The creative talent finds his muse in life, love and happiness. He remarks, '[Always] stay true to yourself and everything will come together'.
