Gary Jibilian-The NS Stick Guitar/Bass Todd Glass-Drums, Percussion The NS Stick is an 8-stringed combination of bass and guitar.. really a fascinating instrument. Gary Jibilian has mastered this instrument to bring a new era of sound to music. JIBILIAN/GLASS consists of two veteran Detroit area musicians, Gary Jibilian, and Todd Glass. Though there are only two members in the band, they amaze listeners, who swear that there are at least three people playing simultaneously at all times. This \'illusion\' is credited largely to Gary\'s mastery of the NS/Stick, the new eight string tapping instrument co-designed by Ned Steinberger and Emmett Chapman, and handmade by Chapman, creator of the Stick, who\'s most notable player is Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson). On August 31, 2000, Gary received his NS/Stick, and immediately began to play this eight string monster with relative ease, mainly due to the fact that has been tapping on the bass guitar for the past twelve years. He began writing instrumentals, and looking for other musicians to join his new band, but with no success. The guitarists that auditioned would say, \'You\'re playing all of the parts that I would play! You don\'t need a guitar player!\' Gary came to realize that he could do without a guitarist, but he definitely wanted a talented, dynamic drummer. After Todd was first introduced to the NS/Stick, he was hooked. It was an obvious choice to have Todd as the drummer, since he shared the same enthusiasm, and vision as Gary. JIBILIAN/GLASS was born! In addition to playing live every Sunday night at The Music Menu, in Detroit, they had the honor of opening for Bill Bruford\'s EARTHWORKS on June 1st in Ferndale, Mi., and that same night were booked by the club owner to open for CAB on June 23. JIBILIAN/GLASS are the \'Real Deal!\'
