Back on Track
Jill Bailey's Back on Track took a total of six years to complete. Many of the songs were recorded with more than 30 tracks to edit, produce and mix. Many great west coast artists helped to bring the project to it's completion. Most notably guitar guru Terry Haggerty from the Sons of Champlin. Recording artist Michael Lington's work on 'Willow Weep for Me' is exceptional. British songwriter Jackie Lomax also played on the record, wrote two of the songs and sang back vocals. Dale Spalding, who tours with Poncho Sanchez did an outstanding job on 'Felonious Joe', a somewhat true story written about a local notorious Santa Barbara musician and Vince Denim provided over the top performances on 'In Love with Another Man' and 'Felonious Joe' The songs are edgy and truthful and represent the spin of emotions that was happening at that time. Most originals written by Jill Bailey and the late Larry Nass. Covers include Willie Dixons Diddy Wah Diddy, Lotta Good love by Booker T. and of course Ann Ronell's Willow weep for me. Enjoy.
