On the Gold Rush Trail
'Put on your Stetson hat and head out on the Gold Rush Trail . . . when the sun starts to sink, we'll tell tales around the campfire as we dry our boots and wolf down some beans and bacon. These are songs that will warm your heart, bring back the spirit of the Old West, and perhaps remind you of your own adventures off the beaten path.' - Maybelline Gibson John Dahle wrote the lyrics for these original songs. He writes from his own experience, having led an adventurous life. In addition to writing cowboy poetry and song lyrics, John has been a professional artist for many years. The music is written by award-winning songwriter Jimmi Accardi. Jimmi loved the Old West feeling of John Dahle's poems, and came up with melodies and arrangements to complete each song. Jimmi's warm vocals are reminiscent of cowboy singers like Gene Autry. The result is an album full of music that is somewhat reminiscent of old cowboy trail songs, gold miner folksongs, and late-1800's saloon songs. We enjoyed making this music, and hope you will enjoy listening to it.
