For the Ones I Love
A singer and song writer from The Virgin Islands via New Jersey and Boston, Joey-Dean uses the world as his muse and is constantly striving to give back a little of the joy the world has given him by singing and writing "songs for everyone", especially "For The Ones He Loves". He believes music is universally spoken and understood and that it transcends the boundaries of language, religion, and race. His earliest influences were Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Ann Murry, Willi Nelson, Kenny Rogers, UB40, Jimmy Cliff, Arrow, Aswad, Beres Hammond, Chaka Demus & Pilers, Desmond Dekker, Ernie Smith and Freddie Notes &The Rudies, and Simon and Garfunkel, his biggest influence coming from within the genre of Country, folk, and Reggae. I aim to touch people with my music, some today, more tomorrow, and more the day after. Performing live remains one of my greatest passions. It's like people coming to dinner and allowing me to feed their souls; some wounded, some lonely and abandoned, some scared, some happy and overjoyed, but all having a need to be understood and validated.
