Once upon a time in Pittsburgh john miller and jay culbertson were in music theory class together at the university of Pittsburgh. Miller invited jay to a party, jay showed up with a bottle of jack daniel's green label (cheap bastard) in hand. A few hours and a few shots later, a friendship was formed. Fast forward to San Diego 2004 and miller met chris penta. They wrote the wine song and many others. Miller later asked Jay to join up... jay knew a drummer, johnny spaid and JOHNNY DIFFERERNT was born. Then chris was promoted and didn't have time to practice and jay got fired and things didn't look good for this aspiring rock-n-roll band. Luckily jay got a new job (better than the last one!) and Johnny Different was reborn as a power trio. Currently they are rocking out on a weekly basis and planning on making a recording isoon! The future looks bright for these young lads and we all hope you, our fans, stick around to see the growth and development of Johnny Different from nice guy musicians, to tabloid and mug shot notoriety. Thanks! -jd.
