Joice Fairchild has a degree in Education from Antioch University. Through her work as an educator, and an incredible ability to connect with children and adults, she honed her innate gift for poetry and storytelling. Give Joice an audience of any age and you will soon have a spellbound group of contented listeners. Living and writing in Golden, Colorado, Joice is actively involved in a variety of community projects. As coauthor of Sisters Without Color - A Celebration of Love, an outstanding volume of poetry, she performs on-stage and often speaks at schools. Through intense research, Joice Fairchild brought her storytelling abilities to The Hum, the first novel in the Living Threads series. As an example, to observe and understand the behavior of llamas, one of the active characters in this novel, Joice spent three days traveling and camping with the animals in the southern part of Colorado.
