De Mi Corazn
Two Honduran born friends join forces to create an original Christian jazz Latin pop Album in Spanish, consisting of highly original, yet diverse songs, produced by the classically trained and very talented Oscar Everaldo Martinez, who also wrote the majority of songs and lyrics. Worship singer, Juan Alberto Bonilla, of San Augustine, Texas, is the featured soloist who brings a warmth and lyrical expression to the sensitive, yet technically difficult vocal solos. Bonilla's interpretations yield a transforming power which express the love of Jesus, Bonilla's humility and at the same time, display a feeling of gratitude for continuous renewal from the Holy Spirit. Martinez's compositions are mastered with orchestral arrangements, using top flight professional soloists in virtuosic displays of spiritual fervor, such as the violin solo in 'Mirad' where Martinez, himself, is the violin soloist; and tender, atmospheric renderings such as the flute solos in 'Justificados'and 'Sublime Gracia.'. The songs are written in a wide variety of contrasting styles and some songs have a surprising fusion of styles within, such as 'Amor de Jesus' which combines jazz, pop and rock; and 'Doxology' which features a rock- based style with string orchestra interludes and finale which explode in a breathtaking climax.
