A Dreamcatcher, according to North American Indian folklore, catches all the good dreams and keeps the bad dreams away. This DVD is just that, from the time we began the project, it was a dream come true and for the first time, everything worked as if by magic. Inspired by the title song Dreamcatcher, June met a real cowboy in an 'ice cream parlor' of all things and so began the story. Born in Calgary, Alberta, very close to those beautiful Rocky Mountains, June Simon met one man, a real cowboy and one lady, a Western artist both working in different fields away from their true love. Then the cowboy introduced June to another cowboy who had a guest ranch in British Columbia and the saga began. Now suddenly a beautiful little girl entered the ice cream parlor with a lovely spirit to match and she became the child in 'To My Dad'. If that is not enough good luck, on a trip to Alberta, June met the most handsome and intelligent Nakoda Sioux Indian gentleman making, of all things, the very drum which was portrayed in Dreamcatcher. Emile and Helmer Twoyoungmen understood each other immediately, and Dreamcatcher came true. The filming of this song was one of the most spiritual experiences June ever had and unforgettable as you live it with her. Then finally, the trip to Idaho where the sun came out in the early morning hours as if it was waiting for it's song and then Washington with the perfect river and the roadwork that made the song Roads a joy to sing!! Of course, then came the excellent camerawork by the Golden Bell team and then the editor who understood the music and had the special artistry to present it so beautifully. The most important part of this team is, of course, Emile Simon, who composed all the music and lyrics and who just now received an international award of first prize for his 'World Music'. The other important part of the team is the award winning Pierre Grill whose magical talent in arranging Emile's music for June completes the circle together with his special ability to perform the music and to bring together the world artists of L'Escargot, so talented and capable of such versatility in performance.
