Juniper Loop has been compared to Jonatha Brook, Over the Rhine and Ryan Adams, but it continues to defy a single musical category. Often performing as a duo, Juniper Loop easily fills a room with the unique sounds of Indian harmonium, accordian, piano, banjo, rich acoustic and warm electric guitars. Improvisational songwriting is one of the treasured moments of most every concert. New music listeners will not forget an evening with Juniper Loop. 'Ascend', released December 2003 is Juniper Loop's weighty debut project. Eclectic, personal vocals are driven by brilliant guitars and classy arrangements. Rare instruments will tickle your ears and simple, poignant lyrics will give pause. BARRY PATTERSON was born in Alabama and the southern roots still infuse his music and his taste in food.
