Reality Check-The Way Things Should Be
Meet Jynx Never Sticks: Jeremy Sault (Vocals, Lead Guitar) Jesse Sault (Drums) Ross Charlton (Rhythm Guitar, Background Vocals) Michael Szatko (Bass Guitar) The Guitar soloing of Jeremy Sault is suggestive of Joe Satriani, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. The band members love to listen to bands like Matchbox Twenty, Goo Goo Dolls, Blink 182, Fallout Boy, Anberlin, Breaking Benjamin, Plus 44, and 3 Doors Down. History: Jeremy, Jesse, and Ross had been playing original alternative rock music together in a band for several years. In the spring of 2007, Mike Szatko joined up and the band, Jynx Never Sticks, came into being. A year later they began recording and released their first full length album in October of 2008. Songs from their CD, Reality Check: The Way Things Should Be, have been heard on WONC (89.1 FM) repeatedly since shortly after it's release. As they gained favor with fans through this station, they were invited to WONC for an interview on Feb. 18th, 2009. They have played several venues over the course of their time together including (in chronological order): Naperville Central High School's "Garage Band Night" (Naperville, IL), Oakbrook Community Church (Oakbrook, IL), and then on to The Elbo Room (Chicago, IL), Doug's Rockhouse Grill (Aurora, IL), The Congress Theater (Chicago, IL), and Boondocks (West Chicago, IL). In the past year, they have had repeated performances at The Elbo Room, Doug's Rockhouse, and Boondocks. Packing venues limited to audiences of 30-250, they plan to go on the road this summer to stretch their wings.
