A Miami resident for fourteen years, Karen Rae was born in Odessa, Texas to a family with deep musical roots. The youngest of nine children, from the age of one, she was performing on stage as part of her family's singing group. Their performance credits included singing at the 1973 Kerrville Folk Festival (where they shared the stage with performers such as Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul & Mary fame) and Willie Nelson's Annual 4th of July Picnic in 1972 & 1973. Karen's latest artistic endeavor is a CD of love song and jazz standards, called 'At Last... A collection of timeless love songs'. The CD encompasses fifty years of love songs from George and Ira Gershwin's 'Someone To Watch Over Me', written in 1926, to the 1977 Anne Murray hit, 'I Just Fall In Love Again'. The compact disc was released September 2006. This is one you will listen to over and over again!
