KATHLEEN PROCTER-MOORE Kathleen started her singing career in Perth, Scotland where she won many competitions including the Premiership award at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival. She performed throughout Scotland and broadcast regularly on Scottish radio. She studied at The Royal Academy of Music. After Leaving Scotland and settling in Australia,Kathleen bacame a Major Principal with the Western Australian Opera Co performing many roles including, Azucena (Il Trovatore), Dorabella (Cosi Fan Tutti), Nancy (Albert Herring), Venus (Orpheus in the Underworld), Czipra (Gypsy Baron) "Madam Baba (The title role) in The Medium. Kathleen also performed and broadcast with the W.A. Symphony Orchestra in Concert and Oratorios and was chosen as a finalist in the ABC Young performers Awards and the New York Metropolitan Opera competition. It was during this time that she was spotted by the Australian Opera Company and was asked to perform the role of Malika in Lakme and as a result became a major principal where she went on to perform over 30 roles including, Rosina- Barber of Seville, Varvara - Katya Kabanova, Suzuki - Madam Butterfly, Zerlina - Don Giovanni, Pheobe (Yeoman of the Guard), Lady Saphir - Patience, Leonora - Triumph of Honour with the Company. A highlight of Kathleen's career was when she was chosen to sing the role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Joan Sutherland and James Morris (Metropolitan Opera) and Maestro Richard Bonynge. She also performed at many and varied concerts In Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra. Kathleen also performed with Companies such as The Gilbert & Sullivan Society, University of NSW Opera, The Savoy Arts Company, Rockdale Musical Society, and Chatswood Musical Society. She also broadcast regularly on Radio. Kathleen's repertoire includes full programs of Opera, Celtic, Musicals, Broadway and contemporary pop performing to sell out audiences, returning to Sydney frequently for recitals at Parliament House and the Joan Sutherland Society etc. She has also recorded 2 albums the first being "Kathleen - From The Heart" featuring songs from Celtic to Opera including Carrickfergus, Phantom of The Opera and Carmen and duets with tenor Andrew Pryor of the Ten Tenors. Her 2nd Album called "Touching Shadows" features songs such as "Nella Fantasia", "Barcarolle", "Scarborough Fair" and with Kathleen singing all vocal parts and "The Flower Duet" from Lakme with Kathleen & Liza Beamish (Duo Diva).
