Dont Worry the Danger
Kathy Ziegler currently makes her living touring as the keyboardist for Donna the Buffalo and repairing vintage instruments for Rumbleseat Music in Ithaca, N.Y. Her heart, however, lies with the songs she has been crafting for the past fifteen years. She has taken this craft to various places (Austin, Tx, Portland OR, and NYC), meeting people along the way, and lending her skills to a spectrum of projects. She played guitar and keyboards for the campy girlband MORNINGWOOD, guitar for DUMPTRUCK, and collaborated with Pam Peltz and Carrie Clark in the lo-fi trio THE LIVING PINS. Kathy has played on a number of recordings (JIM LAUDERDALE, SPLENDID, TRACK and FIELD, STEPHAN SMITH,THE SAVAGE JULIET, DONNA THE BUFFALO, MARY LORSON, etc...) and has done a few major label tours along the way (CAMUS, ABRA MOORE). Kathy's songs have been covered by other artsts (ANNIE BURNS, NIKI DUNCAN.....) and in 2003 she won first place in the pop category of the INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION for her song 'SWEET.' Kathy's newest release titled 'DON'T WORRY, THE DANGER,' is full of catchy pop songs that, while they touch on heavy topics like battling drug addiction, losing a child, or simply losing touch with one's dreams, offer the option of positive thinking against all odds. The basic premise is that whatever happens, 'the danger that comes after you fall is just small.' Kathy is happily married to Dutch rocker/thinker Jairo van Lunteren.
